Twenty-five years ago I began exploring abstract expressionism after many years of training as a realist painter. At first this transition felt uncomfortable and strange as I’d always had a "meter" for judging my work. In my search I looked to dance, where I always found joy and passion. One of my secret passions is to dance along wet, sandy beaches, carving brush strokes with my toes, leaving masterpieces for the gentle waves to sweep away. In bringing this passion to my work, painting soon became an exciting visual dance. This continues to be a foundation of my expressionistic style.
As I paint, there is a connection with the greater creative consciousness. It is my joy, intention and mission to inspire others to feel this same connection. Each painting has a heartbeat and a life of inspiration. They teach me that life is full of miracles when we live in the moment. To dance with divine creativity, to show up to embrace the moment is why I love to paint.
